or – for that matter – even a free lunch is to promote your product but these ploys only work if the product is good. I taste the sherbet the young woman in the supermarket offers and it makes me gag. I do not buy a pint. On the other hand the peanut butter with the raspberry jam mixed in is delicious so, having discovered yet another way to increase my girth, I buy a jar.

… Wonderful!!  You write so well!  What a journey back in time, to the years just before I was born. … your descriptions brought it all to life! Your writing is absolutely captivating and full.” Allison Argo. Filmmaker

Three Stages is the story of my first thirty-seven years – from a small Tennessee town to Hollywood and New York. It comprises my adventures at Hollywood High, Whittier College (where I played football under future NFL greats, George Allen and Don Coryell), in the USAF then as an actor in theatre, TV, Las Vegas, National tours and Broadway: the great and un-great stars I worked with.

I finally finished your Book One and am waiting anxiously for the next part. It has been fascinating for me. I never could imagine what life was like for a southern boy who sings in a church choir, becomes a successful working actor, with an amazing amount of ease may I say, then leaves a career that others would give their right arm to have. … you worked in opera, musical comedy and all the other things you accomplished. You have lived many life times and done more than most people could dream of. …  Amazing, fascinating, and I want more.” – Catherine Wolf, Producer, Writer, Actor

Three Stages recounts the early stages of my very singular and eclectic life. The free e-Book Sample Edition is not just a “taste”, it’s a pretty big slice of the pie and contains many of my favorite stories about some of the bizarre and funny incidents that happened both on and off stage during my fifteen years as a successful working actor.

‘She gave me the crabs!’, ‘He’s the only guy I ever met who could roll a perfect joint with one hand.’… This is the second time I’m reading those lines, I forgot where I left off last time so turns out I re-read 40 pages, was even better the 2nd time.” – Larry Heisler, Minister

I’ve been reading Three Stages during my subway rides. I can’t count how many times I have startled my fellow straphangers with my sudden loud bursts of laughter! I just can’t help it! … such a great read!…thank you for taking me along your Journey!!– Phil Sexton, IT Wizard

A few more reader comments:

I started reading your book at about one in the morning and  even though I was reading it on a computer screen, I had a hard time ‘putting it down. … it’s wonderful. It’s written in a voice that simply screams ‘American!’  … Your openness and honesty and ofttimes struggles to get the right tone are rewards that readers of autobiographies seldom get as most autobiographies seem like puff pieces written for and by the ego of the author. Your autobio does not bathe in pretentiousness. Instead it showers both the reader … with memories from a well-observed and interesting past. Your writing voice is authentic. I simply enjoyed reading every word and can’t wait to read Book II”. – Jeffrey Patrick, Teacher

I … want to read it again, because I LOVED it!” – Mel Higgins, Builder

It has a great flow – with great characters and stories and clearly your voice. I feel like you are telling me these tales instead of reading them. Once again you have projected another incredible voice – from when you were singing and performing ‘My Boy Bill’ from Carousel to now, when you regale us with history and stories from a personal and sacred and bygone era. Congrats – you created a wonderful memoir.” – Celeste Balducci, Entrepreneur

“... you are a captivating writer.” – Mark Burnell, Musician

Your book is mesmerizing.  I just read and read and can’t stop even when I start again in the middle of something. The reality is [that] you and your life are far more adventurous and varied that most of us and ours. … It’s just a fabulous tale. I love that the events are identified by what car you were driving as a young man. And the pictures, oh my, the pictures make it all even more alive. … an entrancing story teller. – Joan Miner, Artist

I love your book … You are still holding my attention which is amazing because I have the attention span of a gnat.– Ira Brenner, Cameraman

What a terrific read and fascinating backstage look into the world of theater. My only complaint was that part one ended without the next one being immediately available.” – Bo Kukil, Medical Tech

“… VERY ENTERTAINING, and like going on vacation for me!” Raven Keyes, Writer/Teacher
