Video Editing the Artist

Video editing,

in case you haven’t noticed, is one of my favorite activities.

During the summer of 1966 when I was a resident player at the Mount Gretna (PA) Playhouse there was a rather strange but very interesting man staying at the Inn which housed many of we actors. His name is Robert Taub and he was (and is) a very gifted and unique artist. He had a wonderful German Shepherd named Leo with him and the three of us made friends quickly. Bob said that one reason he could become friendly with me so readily was that Leo was a great judge of character and he had taken to me immediately. We spent many late nights on the verandah smoking dope and discussing… everything.

We lost contact by the end of that infamous decade (“If you remember the ‘60s, you weren’t really there.”) then reconnected more than thirty years later.

Robert Taub: Shoah #3

He sent me a book of his (2001 or 02) recent work and I photographed the pages.

Many more fabulous – and not so fabulous – characters will be found in all three books of my memoir trilogy.

If you’re interested in Bob’s work here’s his website.
