Author Ben Bryant celebrity book interview: part 1

A couple of weeks ago Filippo Voltagio interviewed me on his radio show about my first

celebrity book,

Three Stages.

Filippo recognized that my “Hollywood memoir” was not really about celebrity stories but about my personal experiences as a young, working actor.

This is only the second interview I’ve done and it was fun and easy. More like a conversation with a friend than a formal interview. Filippo truly did put me at ease.

Here’s a six and a half minute clip from the first part of the interview.

More of the conversation to come in future posts.

In that interview clip I talked about the seemingly accidental nature of my entry into show business and my lifelong adherence to the Yogi Berra advice: “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”

Upon reading a draft of the post, my wise counsellor and winsome wife pointed out to me that what appeared at the time to be accidents or my merely taking the interesting fork in the road may have been guidance. The source of such guidance is infinitely debatable. Some would call it Divine or Angelic, others call it the Higher Self, Soul Wisdom or one’s Guides. Regardless of how it’s labeled, I do believe that there exists an  eternally available cache of wisdom which occasionally leads us whether we’re consciously of it or not.

The several meditative techniques I’ve practiced since the ’70s have enabled an occasional conscious accessing of this wisdom and I’m grateful to the teachers who exposed me to them.

Here’s where you can buy both books.

Thanks for listening, BB
